Chapter 39

“Harris and None Ya were still dancing while Midnite jammed their set. Harris had his eyes closed thinking about how to propose to None Ya, who felt wonderful in his embrace. None Ya was wondering how Harris might act if she said she was pregnant. She knew he wouldn't do the typical, “it can't be mine we only had sex one time,” because he was a stand-up type of man. So she thought to herself? “Here goes nothing.”

“Harris.”

”None Ya,” they both called each, others’ names at the same time.

“What?”

“What?” They both smiled at each other. “Go ahead.”

“No you go ahead.”

“Ok,” said Harris. “None Ya, I want you to know you are a truly special to me and these last few months have been a dream come true for me. I love your mind, body and soul. I would never hurt you. I will always protect you, cherish you hold you down when you need it the most. What I'm trying to say is, Agent Anna Marie Fields, aka None Ya will you…”

“Harris! Harris!” A girl about 19-years-old yelled as she ran up to Harris, grabbing his arm. “You have to come. You have to come. It's the police and they're beating Asante to death in the parking lot! Hurry!”

“None Ya, I will be right back”! Harris took off down the stairs knocking people out of the way, not caring if their drink spilled on their clothes. Harris passed through the crowd of rude boys and girls on the second floor like the 230 lb. monster he was. Harris, on the first floor of the nightclub, located the exit sign and burst through the two doors shoulder first at full speed, almost knocking over two blonde chicks. “Watch out! Jerk!”

Said the two blondes as Harris bolted passed them. Harris looked to his left and then to his right he spotted a crowd of about 50 people in the parking lot yelling at the police. The police stood there nervous with their guns drawn, pointing at the crowd. Harris, Amina, and Asafa ran up to the crowd at the same time.

Amina asked Harris, “What's going on?”

“Something about the cops beating Asante!” replied Harris. Harris and Asafa broke through the crowd and from what they saw, they both knew blood was going to spill.
